I am a white american woman trying to date a true Jamaican born man--I seem to not get it...Any advice for american women dating Jamaican men?

Jamaican men can b pretty hot. at least in my experience. heheh. there was one in a class i took and i mean he was weird (in personality) but undeniably cute. is he black?
