Why do women listen to advice about men from other women?

I never understood why women listen to other women for men related questions. What logic is behind the advice women give to each other about men except their subjective personal experience results.

This is so silly

I see it all the time in magazines. 1000 ways to please your men by some women.

It's like a monkey telling you why a tiger does what he does and what he likes and why he likes it.Why do women listen to advice about men from other women?
The reason is simple, women love to live in a pretend world

We know MEN will tell US the truth; it鈥檚 not what we want to hear (Most of the time)

'The pleese your Man' issue in the magazines, allows women to indulge in a kind of dream.

(YES) We know that it鈥檚 SEX, but not every woman can or want to, as for women it involves feeling, moods, atmosphere and so many things that its easier if we focus on other ways, even if deep, deep down we know it鈥檚 a bunch of crock!!

Am I TOO frank with this?. lolWhy do women listen to advice about men from other women?
In my opinion, men always ';Hemm and Haw';. They skirt the issues or they are totally lost in their 'world'. They pretend not to hear the question and prefer to bury themselves in their newspapers or in front of the TV. And their favourite answer - I don't know. Followed by - What about it?

That's why we have to ask our women friends because they take the time and patience to understand and give moral support. And they may have faced a similar situation so are able to give good advice / share their experiences.

I hope this gives you a better understanding of how we women stand together!

------
women ask women for advice about men because women tell them what they want to hear like ';men are bast*rds'; ';men are jerks'; ';us women have to teach them because they're stupid';.

Women also think they know everything about men and what men do and how men are, that's why women put garbage like that in those magazines because they think they know how to please men.
Tara Hot-T, you summed it up well.

I teach teenage girls, and most of them seek advice about boys, you guessed it, from their female peers or magazines. The few who go to the source do much better. I have found that when I look for the same behaviour in boys, I find that boys are more likely, slightly, to go to the source for information.
I like to go right to the source. Most men will openly discuss issues that are making them unhappy or things they enjoy if the asker is sincere and receptive.

The last time I took advice from a ladies magazine was when I was 13 and it said to suck lollipops to attract boys....I got my first cavity that summer.
LOL thats a line from a Dave Chappelle stand up act.

But I've wondered that myself- As a guy I'm pretty straight forward and honest when a question is posed to me and my g/f has complained that she would like it if i just ';lied'; to her from time to time.

I do sort of think that sometimes women want to hear what they want and don't necessarily want the truth and those magazines are trying to get women to buy them so.....they tell them what the want to hear.

Cheers :)
LOL! Oh this actually made me laugh out loud. I hadn't actually thought about it before.

Perhaps it's because sometimes men can't give us a straight answer? I'm not sure, I usually ask my man straight out. Sometimes I get the run-around though.

Great question!
so... do u think if the monkey asked the tiger... if i jump down from the tree.. will u eat me??? an teh tiger ansered... no... id never hurt u... i luv monkeys... do u think the monkey shud beleve him???

women ask other women bout men cuz men lie... u cant trust wat a guy tells u... but u can usuly trust another women thats got the experience with guys to no better...
maybe some truth in what is said... personal experiences in life or stories older people have passed on some good some not so true
';A monkey telling you why a tiger does what he does...';

That line was funny!
